Two London showa in November:-

Videocrash 4 w/ Hexstatic vs Shlomo, Stonephace, Cheeba + more

The first Saturday in November sees the return to KOKO of the awesome Videocrash, the capital's biggest and best dedicated AV night. For the 4th in the series we have invited reigning masters Hexstatic back to show everybody how it's done with their unmistakable show, plus a guest appearance from beat-boxing superstar Shlomo, while electronic-free-jazz super-group Stonephace provide a mind-blowing live aspect to the affair. We will also see the triumphant return to KOKO of DJ Cheeba and his Serato-based AV extravaganza (this time with a little something extra thrown in!) and the Videocrash debut for London-based experi-mentalists Glass Diamond and Polish super-stars Oszibarack, both with their own unique brands of electronic tuneage.
What’s that you say? Sweaty fans gyrating wildly whilst gawking in disbelief at the rapturous visuals beaming at them from our MASSIVE screens? I can smell it already…

What we've been up to

Asides getting this site together, we've recently completed an exclusive track for a Tru Thoughts 10th Birthday compilation, and we're very pleased with it. Titled Singularity, it's full of swamp guitars, rasping flutes and our sonic TARDIS rhythm section has landed somewhere closer to modern day.

Release Date Changed!

The release date has been put back to May 5th (demand exceeded supply). That said, we've had quite a few indicators that people have received vinyl from the labels web store : etchshop.co.uk. That's all gone now (possibly more on release day), so vinyl junkies will have to scout around stores to find a copy.

Larry on the BBC

There was a special feature on Larry Stabbins on BBC Jazz on 3 in June with interviews with Keith and Julie Tippett, Bosco D'Oliviera and Ben `Nostalgia 77` Lamdin and lots of music -but its gone now so you missed it. However there are some old Working Week videos appearing on Youtube

What We've been up to recently

The Independent on Sunday just included Wedgehead Gets Lucky in the Top Fifity Sounds of the Summer and there's a great review from Snowboy in Blues and Soul "This is the way Jazz and Hip Hop should always have been done but there’s never been anything like this recorded before........the results are dynamite".

Plus we've done a remix of Kinny's "Afro Love Forest" out on Tru Thoughts soon.

Plus we've had a holiday and now we're working on the next album and rehearsing for some live shows in the autumn - watch this space.
